I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and therapist in New York, California, and Florida  who has been practicing since 2012.  I received my Masters in Social Work from California State University, Northridge and a Masters in Counseling Education from Hunter College. I continue to speak at the annual IOCDF conferences since 2017 both in person and online, currently serve on the BDD Special Interest Group, and contribute educational resources to the BDD Foundation of the UK. I am an active member of the IOCDF, TLC Foundation and NASW.

As someone who has lived experience with both Body Dysmorphic Disorder and Anxiety, I have a unique perspective and approach working with my clients. I combine research-based treatment and my own successful treatment strategies and tailor them to each individual client. I work from a holistic lens, looking at the entire person and provide individualized treatment that is unique to each individual, as these disorders may be complex and require deeper work in addition to evidence based treatment. BDD, OCD, BFRBs and Anxiety Disorders can be life-changing and painful. However, with the right modality, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Response Prevention, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills, Habit Reversal Training and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, you can learn to not engage in compulsions, challenge the way you think and feel, and most importantly, come to experience a healthier and better quality of life, value based living. I am professionally trained in CBT/ERP, ACT, DBT,  Habit Reversal Training and Trauma Informed Therapy practices. I am a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP).

In my practice, you can expect a professional who can honestly understand your daily struggles and can truly  empathize with your concerns. Together, we will work to establish a trusting, comfortable, and non-judgmental environment that will allow “you” to work on yourself utilizing self-compassion and make sustainable changes.
